Motorhome rental Fuerteventura.

QUICK FACTS

Last year's camp was a great success, so now we're doing it again. Come with us to the most special island of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura, for a camper van ride. After skiing, before skiing or even instead of skiing come with us now. With family, children, your partner or even alone, the community will make for a truly special holiday.

Fuerteventura is the realm of eternal summer and everyday surfing, and also Europe's motorhome paradise. That's why the Caravamos Hungarian team started their venture right here, and that's why we're also organizing this motorhome-surfing camp for you this March. Anyone who is attracted to the freedom of caravanning, or maybe even a little interested in the waves, can come surfing, for which no experience is required. There will be opportunity for practicing with an instructor, so come with whatever knowledge you have, however it is absolutely not mandatory to surf, although it would be a shame to miss. We will sleep directly on the beach, on a different location every night. We eat, drink, party and go on hikes. You can count on an entire island circuit, with real hidden places, jumping off rocks, caves, and natural pools.

ABOUT THE CAMP

If you've seen the videos/reviews of our camp last year, you absolutely have to(watch Dani's videos) join us for this truly unique RV adventure, on the hippest of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura.

We will definitely be surfing, but no experience is required and it is not mandatory to surf with us, but if you would like to, we will find waves and instructors for you for all skill levels. And there is a good chance that we agree that camping in caravans on the ocean shore, waking up there, waiting for the waves and even checking out other spots every day gives our souls some sense of freedom and variety to our vacation.

Fuerteventura, the least explored and therefore still the most enchanted island of the Canary Islands, is a paradise for surfing and all other windy water sports. And also for motorhomes, since here you can still sleep on the ocean shore or on the rocks, there are no traffic jams and there is always a quiet parking space with a full panorama.
The program is well thought out, tried and tested, with active programs, excursions, and many secret spots, but taking advantage of caravanning, there is also freedom, we can adapt the program at any time according to the team's requests. Of course, we try to move together as much as possible.

Surfing is not mandatory, but the program is built around surfing and surfing lessons. For those who do not participate, we will have tips on how to spend your time in the meantime. However, it's really a shame to miss it, a good party and even a lifelong relationship can easily form.

In our opinion, the best instructors on the island will help, and of course all equipment will be included. Whether you're a complete beginner, or if you've already tried it, or if your skills are more advanced, in Fuerte we always find a wave that's just right for you.

THE PLANNED SCHEDULE

Camper rental Fuerteventura

Day 1 – Arrival & First Night by the Ocean

Departures from home to sunny Fuerteventure where your motorhomes are waiting for your fully equipped with towels, bedding, kitchen supplies, a large fridge and hot water. So you really don’t need to bring anything besides your clother. One backpack per person is usually enough an one shared checked bag per family is usually plenty. Arrival in Fuerteventura according to your flight. From the airport, it’s just a 3-minute taxi ride to our base in El Matorral, where your motorhome will be waiting. After a quick handover, you’ll be ready to hit the road. Each van is equipped with solar panels, and the leisure batteries with inverter provide around 4–5 hours of 220V power daily — enough to charge laptops, get some work done, or watch movies. The next day, the batteries recharge with the sun, so there’s no need to rely on campings or external hookups. Mobile internet is strong and reliable across the island. Your first overnight stop will be Corralejo: parked right on the beach in a quiet, spacious spot, only a 5-minute drive from the lively town center. Grocery stores stay open until 10 PM, giving you plenty of time to stock up for breakfast or lunch. Dinner can be enjoyed together as a group or on your own.

Day 2 – Surf & Explore El Cotillo

Wake up with the sunrise and enjoy the view of Lanzarote island accross across the Bocaina Strait. Start the day with an optional beach run or workout before breakfast. The surf session depends on the waves — it may take place in the morning or afternoon, and we’ll plan the day around the best conditions.
10:00 Meet at the surf school (walking distance from where the campers are parked) to sign the paperwork. If the waves are good, we’ll head straight into our first lesson. The exact location may vary, but usually it’s at El Cotillo, a safe sandy beach break ideal for beginners. We’ll drive the motorhomes there together.
11:00–14:00 First surf lesson (times may shift depending on wave conditions).
14:00–16:00 Free time to relax, swim, or play on the beach.
16:00–19:00 Explore El Cotillo — a charming Atlantic village with small shops, cafés, and great food options.
Walk around, eat, and enjoy the relaxed vibe. Camper parking is available right in town.
Optional sights nearby include the lighthouse and the natural lagoons.
19:00–21:00 Group dinner and watch one of the world’s most stunning sunsets over the Atlantic.
21:00–23:00 Overnight stay near the El Cotillo cliffs at a peaceful oceanside spot. Optional music, dancing, or simply relaxing by the ocean under the stars.

Day 3 – Surf, Sports & Punta Blanca Nights

Start the morning at your own pace with breakfast at the beach. Our goal is to surf in the morning, but first, there’s plenty of time for various sport activities and beach fun.
09:00–11:00 Free activities on the beach — skimboard, football, volleyball, bodysurfing… or just running along the coastal trail at one of the island’s best seaside spots.
11:00–14:00 Surf lesson (likely in El Cotillo, but possibly on the east coast depending on conditions). The group may split according to skill level or personal interest.
14:00–16:00 Lunch break and time to relax, either on the beach or in town. Opportunity for shopping and exploring.
16:00–19:00 Practical stop to drain/fill the motorhome water tanks in Corralejo. Then, depending on the next day’s surf location, we continue towards Lajares for coffee in this small but vibrant surf town, full of shops and souvenirs.
19:00–23:00 Overnight stay at Punta Blanca, Majanicho — one of the island’s most authentic surf spots. Evening campfire with bacon and marshmallows, plus optional music and dancing under the stars.

Camper rental Fuerteventura

Day 4 – Surf & Start of the Island Road Trip

Wake up at the surfspot. After breakfast if the group is eager and the conditions are good, we’ll surf at Punta Blanca — a slightly paddly spot but still beginner-friendly. Otherwise, we’ll head to another location depending on the waves.
09:00–11:00 Free time for games on the beach or optional yoga.
11:00–14:00 Surf session (time and location flexible, with the possibility of splitting the group). We try to keep it earlier in the day to leave time for our island road trip.
Lunch will be enjoyed on the beach, with the option of food delivered by our local friend (vegetarian choice available).
14:00–20:00 Start the island road trip along the Atlantic side of Fuerteventura, with a few scenic and cultural stops: Los Molinos – a small, traditional fishing village Betancuria – the island’s historic former capital Ajuy Caves – dramatic cliffs and caves by the ocean
20:00–23:00 Overnight stay in La Pared, a wild and remote beach on the west coast. There are no shops or restaurants here, so we’ll bring our own dinner and breakfast. Optional campfire to finish the day under the stars.

Camper rental Fuerteventura

Day 5 – Southern Adventures

Wake up and enjoy breakfast at the beach. Today we take a break from surfing and dive into the adventure of exploring the southern part of Fuerteventura. From breathtaking viewpoints to golden sand lagoons, charming villages, and wild landscapes — this day is all about discovering the island’s other side. Along the way, we’ll also take care of motorhome servicing so everything is ready for the days ahead.
09:00–10:00 If we leave early, we’ll make a stop at La Pared — one of the most spectacular viewpoints on the island.
10:00–12:00 Continue south to Costa Calma and Sotavento Beach — a stunning lagoon paradise famous among kitesurfers and windsurfers. Camper parking is available nearby.
12:00–16:00 Free choice of afternoon activity: Head further south to Morro Jable, a lively tourist town (parking can be tricky) Visit the Oasis Wildlife Zoo, home to exotic animals and family experiences Relax at Sotavento Beach or take a short excursion in the area
18:00–19:00 Shopping and preparations for the evening BBQ and party.
20:00–23:00 Sotavento at night — campfire, music, and dancing under the stars on one of the island’s most magical beaches.

Camper rental Fuerteventura

Day 6 – Seals, Dunes & Afternoon Surf

Wake up to the most beautiful sunrise of the trip and enjoy a relaxed morning by the ocean. With surfing planned for the afternoon, the day leaves plenty of time to head back north, explore Corralejo’s spectacular dunes, or even make an optional stop in Caleta de Fuste to visit the aquarium — home to sea lions — or to book a catamaran trip.
08:00–10:00 The endless coastline of Sotavento is perfect for a refreshing sunrise run — the best way to start the day fully immersed in nature.
10:00–16:00 Free time to relax at Sotavento Beach or drive back north with plenty of options along the way, including a visit to the magical Dunes of Corralejo.
16:00–19:00 Afternoon surf lesson (location depending on waves and instructor’s choice).
19:00–23:00 Overnight stay either in El Cotillo or Majanicho. Optional evening campfire, BBQ, or party by the ocean under the stars.

Camper rental Fuerteventura

Day 7 – Surf & Farewell

Wake up and enjoy breakfast. Optional morning yoga or beach games.
11:00–14:00 Surf lesson (location to be confirmed depending on conditions).
14:00–20:00 Afternoon free to revisit your favorite spot from the week or choose one of these activities: Visit Tefía, learning about its history as a former prison camp and its significance for the LGBTQ+ community Hike up Calderón Hondo, a volcano near Lajares with breathtaking crater views For kids and families: try surf-skating in Lajares, a fun way to practice board skills on land
