From the very beginning, the goal of Caravamos has been to organize motorhome tours in cooperation with good-natured teams to what we believe to be the most wonderful of the Canary Islands, Fuertevetura. You are such a great community, so in February 2025 we would love to see you on our first trip together with Gravity Boulder. So, after skiing, before, instead of, between two climbs, join us with friends, family, children, your partner or even alone, the community will make for a truly special holiday.

Fuerteventura is the realm of eternal summer and everyday surfing, and also Europe's motorhome paradise. That's why the Caravamos Hungarian team started their business right here, and that's why we're also organizing this RV camp for you this february. Anyone who is attracted to the freedom of motorhome driving, or maybe even a little interested in the wave, can come! for surfing, for which no experience is required. There will be an opportunity for instruction, come with whatever knowledge you have, but it is absolutely not mandatory to surf, although it would be a shame to miss it. We will sleep directly on the beach, but also every other day. We eat, drink, party and go on trips. You can count on an entire island circuit, with real secret places, jumping off rocks, caves, and natural pools.

ABOUT THE CAMP

Maybe watch a couple of these videos, then run through the detailed description of the camp, ask anything, and then join us on this truly unique motorhome adventure in Fuerteventura, the hippiest of the Canary Islands.

There will be quite a few of us who will definitely surf, but no previous training is necessary and it is not mandatory to surf with us, but if you would like to surf, we will find waves and instructors for you for all skill levels. And there is a good chance that we agree that camping in RVs on the ocean shore, waking up there, waiting for the waves and even checking out other spots every day gives our souls some sense of freedom and variety to our vacation.

Fuerteventura, the least explored and therefore still the most enchanted island of the Canary Islands, is a paradise for windsurfing and all other water sports. And also for motorhomes, since here you can still sleep on the ocean shore or on the rocks, there are no traffic jams and there is always a quiet full-panoramic parking space.

The program is well thought out and tested, with lots of activities, trips, secret spots, but taking advantage of the advantages of motorhome driving, there is also freedom, we can adapt the program at any time according to the team's requests. Of course, we try to move together as much as possible.

Surfing is therefore not mandatory, but the program is built around a bit of surfing and surfing lessons. For those who do not participate, we will have tips on how to spend your time in the meantime. However, it's really a shame to miss it, a good party and even a lifelong relationship can easily form. In our opinion, the best instructors on the island will help you, and of course all equipment will be included. Whether you're a complete beginner, or if you've already tried it, or if your skills are more advanced, in Fuerte we always find a wave that's just right for you.

What is included

A fully developed, well-proven weekly program with places to sleep, attractions, secret places, but with the necessary flexibility
The largest and best equipped, almost new, 4-6 person motorhomes
A maximum of 4 people will sleep in a motorhome (2-2 next to each other, possibly someone on the extra bed)
Bed linen and towels, so that it's really enough to travel with just one backpack
If you come with children, we will take care of them during the surf session
A dedicated Caravamos tour guide throughout the week who accompanies the group and helps with everything
We also help empty and fill the tanks of motorhomes, and we go to the site at any time in case you have a problem, to repair or to switch on anything
A trip around the entire island
Transfer from the airport to the campers and back to the airport.
Many kinds of toys and sports equipment for the beach are in the motorhomes so that you don't have to bring them with you
Organizing surfing lessons at any skill level, with full equipment and insurance, if you come to surf with us. The surf package is optional and costs 200 EUR (5 lessons).

What is not included

The price of the plane ticket
The cost of fuel (maximum 1 full tank will be consumed, we don't drive a lot)
Meals (its possible to eat in the cars and of course we will also go to a restaurant, according to the needs of the group)
The costs of extra programs, which will be decided by the group (buggy rides, boat trips, diving, aqupark, etc.)
Travel insurance
Deposit 1,000 euros per camper (preferably in cash, this will be returned immediately at the end of the tour)
We kindly ask you to return the motorhomes after they have been cleaned inside and the waste water and toilet has been drained

THE PLANNED SCHEDULE

DAY 1

Arrival day. We will organize your transfers from FUE airport or pick you up at the ferry port in Corralejo if you are flying to Lanzarote airport which is also a option if you find better deals for plane tickets to ACE.
The motorhomes will be handed over at our camping site in Corralejo. This will be our base to service the motorhomes (refill fresh water, discharge grey/black water). The motorhomes are fully equipped (kitchen, bathroom, hot water, electricity, solar panels) so you will be able to charge your devices during the day or at night even when we will be off the grid at the coast. In most places we will have decent phone reception too and the mobile data charges are based on EU regulations. Bedsheets and towels will also be provided to you so you can travel light with probably one checked bag per 2-4 friends or per family.
Our camping site is walking distance to Corralejo town center. If you arrive early you can spend the day at the beach, have lunch at one f the lovely restaurants and do some shopping too.
When the group is there we will spend some time learning how to handle the motorhomes and then we will start rolling... and arrive in a few minutes to our first spot at the edge of Corralejo. Welcome dinner in town with the group!

DAY 2

Wake up to the nice sunrise with Lanzarote island as the backdrop. Jog along the coast or hit an outdoor gym nearby for a street work-out. After breakfast we will go the the surf school to collect equipment and sign the necessary paperwork.
Then we will head to El Cotillo for the first lesson. It is a beginner friendly beach break with sandy bottom. This might change depending on the surf conditions. We spend the rest of the day in El Cotillo exploring the town, the nearby lagoons, the kid friendly beach La Concha and a lovely lighthouse too.
We will spend the night in El Cotillo, next to the castle.

DAY 3

Breakfast at the beach, morning yoga at the beach or a run on the trail along the coast. We will hang out at El Cotillo beaches today and plan for a surf sessions in the morning. After lunch in Corralejo we will head to Lajares. This is the most surf-hippie town of the island with many souvenir shops offering hand-made items and cafés, restaurants. We will spend some time here and then drive to Majanicho, Punta Blanca. We plan a bonfire and bbq grill for dinner at the beach. Music, dancing and some drinks are also an option.

DAY 4

Again we plan a morning surf session. We will order lunch to the beach. Then we will head to the camping site to refill the motorhomes and start our trip down south. We will drive along the west coast and stop at many interesting spots like Los Molinos, Betancuria, Ajuy. Our overnight spot will be in La Pared which is also a great surf spot but we will not have organized lessons here.
There are no shops here only a small restaurant which may not be open so we will bring and prepare our own food at the beach for dinner and breakfast.

DAY 5

No organized surf lessons today but we will keep exploring the southern part of the island. We will also need to refill water and service the campers. We will hit some nice sport around La Pared and then we will head to Costa Calma area and stop at Sotavento beach on the east coast. White sand, lagoons with crystal clear water in all shades of blue you can imagine. This will be a place where the group may decide to stay and relax or go further down south which is the most touristy part of the island. There is also a zoo nearby to spend time with kids. The planned overnight spot will be in Caleta de Fuste. This town has an aquarium and you can also book catamaran trips from here. But we might stay at Sotavento beach to experience its beautiful sunrise.

DAY 6

The surf lesson will be in the afternoon. That will give ample time for the group to get back from Caleta the Fuste or Sotavento and explore the dunes of Corralejo. Non surfers will be able to spend time in Corralejo or do a volcano hike. The night will be spend in the north west corner near Corralejo.

DAY 7

Breaskfast, yoga, relax and play at the beach during the morning surf lesson. There are several options around Correlajo for non-surfers. Some of them are pricey as everywhere like dolphin watch, boat excursions, jet-ski and buggy rental, scuba diving or snorkeling day trips. But these are all optional and maybe better suited for another trip. We will have some hiking options ready for you and also we can rent bikes to ride along the north-western tip of the island.
A more unique place is Tefía with a museum which was a concentration camp during the Franco dictatorship that served for the confinement of common and political prisoners and for the reeducation of homosexual men.

DAY 8

Returning with the motorhomes to the camping site, cleaning and servicing of the vehicles. Depending on your flight schedule you may have lunch in Corralejo or do another short visit to nearby attractions. The transfers to the airport or ferry port will be organized based on your flight schedules. We will say goodbye to each other but hopefully not forever!

Fill in the form for pre-registration. If you have questions submit it through the form and we will contact you right away. After clarifying questions that may arise, we will confirm your camp reservation, which you can finalize by paying a 50% advance payment. You have to arrange the plane tickets yourself, but we are happy to help with advice and ideas. Did you know that Fuerteventura is very well connected through budget airlines to many European cities? And of course you can score great deals on tickets during the winter months! Once you have your airline tickets you will have to pay the second installment of the camp fee 2 weeks before departure. After that, all that's left is to enjoy the summer in the winter and glide on the waves!

OUR MOTORHOMES

Our caravans are brand new or maximum 2-4 year old large vehicles suitable for 4-6 people. The campers are fully equipped, all with a kitchen, bathroom, electricity, hot water and heating.

We provide you with all the stuff you need from bedding, towels, kitchen equipment, and even camping stuff, so you only need a backpack for your caravanning trip to Fuerteventura.

Indeed, we are always there to help you in anything around the camper and in making your RV journey totally seamless and a truly meaningful vacation.
