Camping in the Canary Islands provides an unforgettable experience. All the family, from the little ones to the oldest members will enjoy the holiday and the travel by caravan. If you rent a caravan, try to explore as much from Fuerteventura as possible.
Sandy Beaches with crystal clear water
Fuerteventura has an impressive natural diversity. Enjoy the sun on one of the amazing sandy beaches in the island. If you wish to relax with a walking trip, do not hesitate to visit Corralejo Natural Park. Day and night Fuerteventura provides amazing spots to visit. If you are not tired of visiting the beaches during daytime, continue your trip and watch the beautiful sunset.
Fuerteventura is an island which can be easily discovered if you rent a caravan. Driving to the west coast, you can see spectacular sights, where the waves are crashing to the rocks.
What can be more romantic than spending the night gazing at the stars? The Sicasumbre astronomical observation point is one of the best places to enjoy the starry skies in Fuerteventura. Bring warm clothes with you, as the temperature goes down during the night and enjoy the most marvelous spectacle.
How does a Caravan trip look like, let’s see a scheduled program
1st day - Arrival & getting to know each other
Afternoon arrival, we pick you up at the airport and take you to the campers where we give you a full introduction to your vehicle and we / you drive to Corralejo. We invite you for a welcome drink in the rooftop bar of Bristol Sunset. We talk a bit about what is waiting for the group during the week ahead, then we go to the surf school to choose the equipment. It’s up to you if you go alone or with the group, but we are definitely going to have some fun in the town centre. We’ll also do some shopping for breakfast, and we will spend the night in Corralejo in a spot right on the beach just across Lanzarote.
2nd day - The journey begins
There is a basic streetworkout and running track right in front of our sleeping spot, so you can start actively the day if you wish. We head to El Cotillo with the campers to surf on one of the best and most maybe the most beautiful learning spots in Europe. Depending on the waves we’ll have our introductory lessons, but more advanced fellas will also find their favorite sets. We spend the day “tranquilo” on the beach, order lunch to the “playa”, drop by the village center of Cotillo, and visit the lighthouse on the very north of Fuerteventura. We buy food for dinner or go to a local restaurant, it’s up to the group. But for 6:00 pm we’ll invite (with an online campaign) other people around for a joint yoga class on the beach. We’ll watch the sunset together and then make a little party around a campfire among the dunes. We spend the night on the rocks of Cotillo.
3rd day - Start the week actively
We wake up for the sound and the sight of the Atlantic Ocean, for a feeling that will surely overwhelm you as well, just as it does us every time. We surf before noon if the waves are fine, wait for the tide or go to another spot best for surfing, but you’ll have time just to relax on the beach too. We order food to the beach again or you guys cook in the campers. In the afternoon we’ll go into Lajares, the most hippy-type of habitat, beloved by all of us. There is an official Crossfit box in the village, so you can consider dropping by for a WOD. We have a light dinner there and have a little local music party, just as much as pandemics allow us. Nevertheless, we’ll try to connect the group with other travelers in Fuerte (again with some online campaigning). Depending on, if there is someone to drive to the beach or not, we either spend the night in Lajares or head still during the night to Majanicho, and sleep on Punta Blanca, some 10 meters from the shore.
4th day - A lazy day with a party in the end
We surf (depending the level of the group) in Punta Blanca, on waves that even with the slightest experience, after a bit of paddling, you can truly enjoy. Lunch on the beach (order or self-prepared), then after some rest, heading to Corralejo, where we empty and fill the tanks of the campers. We park close to the beach and just in the neighborhood of a gym, so you can have another sporty day if you wish. The city is all yours, do the shopping, enjoy the plentiful restaurants. We can have yoga and or some meditation on the beach (again inviting other people around with online activities). After that we’ll meet up in the Sunset Lounge (there are live concerts in the evenings during non-pandemic times) or on the terrace of Punta Elena, both right on the beach, chat and have some party together. We spend the night in Corralejo.
5th day - A day based on your choices
There will be an option to have another yoga and meditation session early in the morning, then if we can surf in Corralejo in the morning, we will, if not we just take the equipment and head down to the south of Fuerteventura. Depending on the choice of the group, we can have approximately 3-hour excursion across the mountains to Cofete beach, probably the most mesmerizing coast you’ve seen so far. We can check out the Winter’s Villa and go back to our campers, we left in Moro Jable. If the group prefers to spend the day more peacefully, then we stay on the east coast instead of the tracking. However, in the afternoon we’ll jump ack into the caravans and go to the southest spot of the island, then stop and surf on one of the most remote spots of the island, at Punta Salina. We’ll make a campfire and have a great night there with other people in their campers.
6th day - Rocky day
Again depending on the waves we can surf on Punta Salina in the morning and / or head back to the north. We’ll stop at La Pared to watch the gigantic waves reaching the cliffs and enjoy the show of the cute squirrels running all around the rocks. We go further north and check out another amazing spot of Fuerte, La Playa de Ayui, its awesome beach and the gorgeous cave it is so famous for. Then we drive back to El Cotillo. We either surf (once again) or go to the village to have dinner in the Puerto. We spend the night on the cliffs of Cotillo or in Majanicho depending on the surfing skill level and the lust of the group considering the surf the day after.
7th day - Surfing all day long
Easy day on the beach either in Cotillo or Majanicho. Surf according to the waves and wish of the group, then heading to Corralejo. It’s up to the group to just relax, do some more shopping, go to workout, register for a boat trip to Los Lobos to watch dolphins, snorkel, hike on the volcano or go high-level surfing with a boat to an advanced break next to Los Lobos. We’ll have a farewell dinner and party together in Corralejo and spend the night in the city.
Last day - The journey ends
There will be one last yoga and meditation session on the beach for those, whose flights allow. We bring back the campers together to rental firm, or if the flight is very early, we’ll do it instead of you. We give you the ride to the airport. Say good bye with the hope that something really changed in you and maybe you also found someone(s) with whom you can make this world a better place. And we mean it, honestly.
Because at the end of the day, we truly believe, it’s who you go with.
Check out our motorhomes
